BROADLIND HOTEL POLICY

At the Broadlind Hotel, we wish you the best in boutique aparthotel hospitality and a unique experience found in the heart of downtown Long Beach.  For your convenience, we have listed all the policies of Broadlind Hotel, so you know what to expect during your visit.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.  
 
RESERVATIONS:   

The Broadlind Hotel is a self check-in hotel and full payment is due at time of booking. You will receive a unique door code for the duration of your stay. For your safety and the safety of all our guests, please do not share you code. Late and early Check-in/Check-out times require prior approval, and fees may apply.   

Check-in time: 4:00 PM 

Checkout time:  11:00 AM. 

Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM (Strictly Enforced) 

SAME-DAY RESERVATIONS CLOSE AT 9pm.  

 

Please let us know if you need a later check out and we will try to accommodate your needs. 

 

All reservations are prepaid prior to confirming reservation.  We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  Rooms that are not paid in full at time requested, access codes will be inactive until further notice and guests will not receive a refund for any payments made.  

 

Guests must fill out a credit card authorization form and send back a copy of ID (Driver's License or Passport) for incidentals, found on broadlindhotel.com website, to confirm reservation.  Form must be completely filled out and returned prior to check in to reservations@broadlindhotel.com.  

Resort Fees apply to all reservations.   The Broadlind Hotel is an ApartHotel accommodating guests short and long term.  Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen and private bath.  On-site washer/dryer units are also complimentary and available for guests in the mezzanine.  Housekeeping is provided only upon request and during business hours of 10am-3pm.  We will try our best to accommodate same-day requests.  Otherwise, requests will be fulfilled the next day.  

IMPORTANT TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR ACCESS CODE INSTRUCTIONS TO HOTEL AND PARKING.  Guests are sent access codes and parking reservation information at time of booking.  Access codes and parking are not available the day of checkin. 

ACCESS CODES AND ROOM # ARE SENT TO THE SAME EMAIL USED TO MAKE THE RESERVATION.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  If someone else booked room for guest, please check with that person for reservation access codes.  CODES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL.  Broadlind Hotel is a self-checkin hotel with a keyless entry.  The Broadlind Hotel is not responsible for guests not receiving their codes.  Refunds will not be provided.  

Group bookings are a required 3 or more room reservation. 

The Broadlind Hotel is a 1928 building with lots of historical charm.  There are some fixtures we kept original and some things we are not able to change because of the historical landmark.  

 

Guest bookings are to a specific room, as every room is uniquely different.  From time to time, rooms may become unavailable for any given reason. Broadlind Hotel has the right to upgrade or downgrade rooms to any room type without guest's consent and will send guests new reservation room # and access code.  We will always try our best to accommodate guests to an equal or greater value (rooms rates are according to reservation booking date from the Hotel, not on day of checkin, last minute deal, or different special offers from third-party booking sites).  

Broadlind Hotel is an ApartHotel and Operation Hours are 10am-4pm.  Any special requests (extra blankets, bedding, towels, soaps, etc) made after operation hours will be addressed the next day during normal business hours.  Please check reservation for emergency and staff contact information.  

 

The Broadlind Hotel does not have elevators.   Stairs only to access rooms.  Note that the Broadlind Hotel is a registered historical building and is not wheelchair accessible.  

 

You must be at least 18 years of age to reserve a stay at the Broadlind Hotel.  

 

Broadlind Hotel reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.  

LONG-TERM STAYS:

Broadlind Hotel is an ApartHotel and welcome guests for long-term stays at our on-site (Broadlind Hotel) and off-site properties.  With the Long Beach Convention Center, Port of Long Beach, city contractors, traveling nurses, and business travelers, we are the perfect location with a full kitchenette and private bath in every room, local supermarket across the street, and plenty of great restaurants in the area.   

Long-term stays are a minimum of 28-days.  For guests staying over 28-days, guests will receive a new reservation depending on availability. Email reservations@broadlindhotel.com for more information, rates, and availability.  

OPERATION HOURS: 

The Broadlind is an ApartHotel and operation hours are 9am to 3pm daily.  Requests made after hours will be brought into attention the next business day.  For a faster response, please text request to (562) 310-5848.

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES REQUESTS:

Special requests (extra bedding, towels, soaps, housekeeping, etc) are made 24-hours prior to checkin, and during business hours.  We advise to make any special requests at the time of your booking to ensure your requests are submitted on time.  Any requests made after operation hours will be fulfilled the next business day.  

SPECIAL ROOM REQUESTS:

We want every celebration to be special.  For a fee, guest service offers special requests and gifts, prior to checkin, to guest rooms in celebration of their birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, etc.  24-hour advance notice required and fees may vary.  Special room requests are flowers, chocolates on bed,  gift baskets, stuffed animal, note card, champagne and wine, and custom requests (upon availability). Guest will be invoiced from the hotel for all special request items.  Contact reservations@broadlindhotel.com for more information. 

HOUSEKEEPING:

We are an eco-friendly hotel and will clean rooms as requested only.  Housekeeping hours are from 10am to 2pm daily.  For stays more than 3 days, rooms are cleaned on the third day and only upon request.  For weekly or monthly stays, rooms are cleaned once a week and only upon request. Requests made after housekeeping hours will be observed the following day. 

All personal belongings left in room after scheduled checkout time will be held in storage for 7 days.  All unclaimed belongings will be sent to the local thrift store or rubbished.  

 

The Broadlind Hotel is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, items left unsupervised, or left behind after checkout.  

 

EARLY ARRIVALS AND LATE DEPARTURES: 

We ask that guests contact the hotel at least 24-hours prior to checkin and during business hours of 10am-4pm regarding early arrivals and late departures.  Additional fees apply.   

Early check-in fee as early as 12pm* and before 4pm - $45 

*  We will try our best to accommodate a 12pm checkin, but exact time will vary and not guaranteed depending on availability and previous guests checkout at 11am.  In order to request an early checkin, guests is required to pay the $45 early checkin fee.  

Baggage hold fee, before checkin at 4pm and after checkout up to 5pm - $45 

Late checkout fee after 11am until 2pm - $25/hour 

If guests have not been authorized by the Broadlind Hotel for a late check out after 11am, Broadlind Hotel staff and housekeeping have full right to enter the room as they are scheduled to enter and inspect the room at 11am.  If guests resist checking out, Broadlind Hotel has the right to take legal action to help remove guests from the room.  All unauthorized late checkouts after 11am are considered trespassing by law.  

Fees for early checkin and late checkouts are non-refundable.

CANCELLATIONS:  
Broadlind Hotel is a 20-room Boutique Hotel and are not able to accommodate short notice cancellations. 

 

Any changes to your reservation must be done 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to arrival are subject to a 100% charge for the price of the entire reservation.  

 

Any refund due back to your debited account may take up to 45 business days to process, depending on your financial institution.  45-day cancellation policy for New Year's Eve (No refund), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, special event weekends (may vary), Wedding bookings, and group bookings of 3 rooms or more.  

Same-day reservations are non-refundable.  Large groups bookings of 3 or more rooms are non-refundable.

 

*Early booking cancellation refunds are only fully refunded within 45 days after initial booking.   Cancellations made after 45-days are non-refundable.  Last minute bookings for large groups of 3 or more rooms are non-refundable, regardless of time when reservation was made.

 

Reservations booked through a third-party Online Travel Booking Agency (i.e. Expedia, Hotels.com, Travelocity, Booking.com, etc), must make changes/cancellations through that channel.  All financial transactions and bookings are handled only with the third-party Online Travel Booking Agency.  The Broadlind Hotel does not issue refunds, credits, make room alterations, or cancellations on behalf of the third-party Online Travel Booking Agency.  Cancellation policy and fees vary per third-party booking, check with booking agency for more information. 

Additional hotel fees, i.e early checkin, late checkout, baggage hold, and parking, is refunded according to the cancellation policy above. 

 
We know that plans change and appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible. 

 

THIRD-PARTY RELOCATION: 

At the Broadlind Hotel, our guests are our main priority and we understand sometimes things come up and our hotel does not fit guest's requirements.  For all bookings made through a third-party site,  all requests in relocation, cancellation, alterations will be made through the third-party booking site, as the Broadlind Hotel does not manage reservations when booked through the third-party site.  In reference to the Broadlind's Hotel Policy, the Hotel is not responsible for any relocation fees and Guest/Third-party agent is responsible for the full payment of the entire reservation to the Hotel.  Additional pre-paid fees in early checkin, baggage hold, late checkout, and parking is non-refundable.  Once the Hotel has received third-party update that the Guest has been relocated, Guest has up to 1-hour to checkout.  If Guests has not checked out after 1-hour after initital notification, staff and appropriate parties will enforce notification to guest for removal.  

Relocation is not provided for guests booking directly with the hotel. 

PARKING:

Overnight parking is prepaid and $15/night/per car and is adjacent to the hotel, in a secured gated lot.  
 
Please note that parking spaces are prepaid and reserved prior to checkin and will not be available to purchase day of checkin. Parking is based off of availability. Spaces are very limited. Reserve early and prior to checkin!  
 
Parking permit expires upon checkout at 11am. Parking fees are non-refundable.

DELIVERIES:

For ALL package deliveries, guests much inform hotel with delivery date and time.  Send all information to reservations@broadlindhotel.com.

NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE:

*Note Broadlind Hotel is a registered historical building and there are no elevators on property, stairs only.  No wheelchair accessibility.

Hotel entry and Guest rooms are on the 2nd-5th floors and accessed by stairs only.  Broadlind Hotel property and All guest rooms are not wheelchair accessible. 

PETS:  

In consideration of all our guests, Broadlind Hotel is pet-free environment.  Please inform the hotel in advance for service dogs used for medical purposes (seizures, sight, hearing, etc.) There is a $200 cleaning deposit and ADA documentation required at reservation booking. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.  

 

For pets detected on-property and in guest rooms, guest will be charged $105 for pet cleaning fee. No exceptions.  
 

SMOKING:  

Broadlind Hotel is a smoke-free environment.  Please note that a minimum fee of $750 will be charged if smoke is detected in guest rooms. Broadlind Hotel staff and housekeeping have full right to determine detection of any kind of smoking (cigarette, vaping, marijuana, etc). Guest will be charged automatically from their incidental form or will be sent an invoice.  Paymenty is due immediately.  All unpaid invoices within 24-hours will be sent to collections.   Broadlind Hotel is authorized to charge guests automatically for any damage made to the property. 

 

DAMAGES: 

Upon check-in we require a credit card on hold for any damages beyond normal use of our amenities or at fault of the hotel. This includes furniture, linens, structural damage to the room, missing items, smoking, etc.  Prices may vary according to damaged/missing items.  Refer to Incidental Forms.

Broadlind Hotel staff and housekeeping have full right to determine damages made to the hotel property.  Guest will be charged automatically from their incidental form or will be sent an invoice.  Paymenty is due immediately.  All unpaid invoices within 24-hours will be sent to collections.   Broadlind Hotel is authorized to charge guests automatically for any damage made to the property. 

INCIDENTAL FORMS:

Broadlind Hotel is a no checkin/front desk hotel.  All guests must fill out the Incidental Form found on www.broadlindhotel.com and return form to reservations@broadlindhotel.com WITH copy of Driver's License or Passport.  Forms and required documents are mandatory to confirm reservation.  

 

CANDLES: 

For guest safety and the protection of this historic building and its furnishings, the use of candles in guest rooms is prohibited. 

 

CHILDREN:

 Please notify the hotel if you are traveling with children under the age of 12. Unfortunately cribs are not available at the hotel.
 
OCCUPANCY: 

Only registered guests have the use of the property. Arrangements must be made in advance for visitors.  Charges may apply for extra guests.  

RIGHT TO ENTER & TO INACTIVATE CODES:

Staff reserves the right to enter rooms at anytime, with given notice to guests.  Broadlind Hotel is an old historical property and there is constant upkeep and maintaining to the rooms and building.  If guests are not present, Staff will have full rights to enter room in accordance to any maintenance work, inspection, or amenity requests delivery. 

If guests have not checked out of their room by checkout date and time at 11am, staff has the right to enter and remove all guest's personal belongings and store at the guest's expense.  At booking, all guests are designated a specific room.  For guests transferring rooms, please notify reservations at reservations@broadlindhotel.com or text (562) 310-5848 immediately, so we can try and make sure the rooms are prepared first for an immediate transfer.  

If for any reason the Hotel feels guests are not compliant with Hotel rules, threat to hotel staff, guests, and property, unpaid dues, and for any reasonable decision made by Hotel staff and managment,  the Broadlind Hotel has the right to make guest codes inactive until further notice and resolved.  Broadlind Hotel may notify law enforcement if needed at any time.  

ITEMS LEFT BEHIND AT CHECKOUT/LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS: 

At the Broadlind Hotel, we always try our best to collect items left behind after guests checkout.  Items left will be bagged and recorded for up to 30 days.  After 30 days, all items will be donated to the local thrift store.  Broadlind Hotel is not responsible for any items left behind, lost, or stolen items at the hotel.  Guests are responsible to close and lock their doors when they leave and check for all personal belongings after checkout.  We kindly ask guests to NOT leave their luggage unattending in the building, hallways, mezzanine, or patio, as the Broadlind Hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items left unattended.
